North-Up Israel

Empowering Young Israelis to Build Their Future in Northern Israel

At North-Up Israel (“Olim to the North”), we connect young Israelis with life in the Galilee and the Golan Heights - from their very first introduction to becoming active, long-term members of local communities.

Through a unique two-stage program that combines immersive experiences, community engagement, career development, and entrepreneurship, we provide participants with the knowledge, connections, and confidence to turn interest into commitment - and to choose Northern Israel as the place to build their home, career, and future.

The North Is Calling. We're Coming.

North-Up Israel is a Zionist initiative dedicated to strengthening and revitalizing Northern Israel by encouraging young Israelis to build their future in the Galilee and the Golan Heights.

The war that began on October 7 fundamentally changed life in Northern Israel. Entire communities were evacuated, businesses were severely impacted, and the region lost many of its young residents. Ensuring the long-term future of the North requires a new generation of young people who choose to live, work, and build their families there.

Target audience: Young Israelis who are in the process of deciding where to live.

Three Goals. One National Mission.

Our goals:
1.

Strengthen Northern Israel by Attracting Outstanding Young Talent

Encourage young Israelis to choose the Galilee and the Golan as the place to build their homes, careers, and communities, strengthening the region's demographic, economic, and social resilience.

.2

Enable Long-Term Integration Through Careers, Community, and Entrepreneurship

Provide participants with the guidance, professional opportunities, networks, and ongoing support they need to establish lasting economic and social roots in Northern Israel.

.3

Lead the Renewal of the Galilee and the Golan Through the Next Generation

Contribute to the region's long-term recovery by fostering economic growth, supporting local entrepreneurship, and building vibrant young communities across Northern Israel.

From First Visit to Lasting Roots

A Two-Stage Journey

The program is intended for IDF and national service discharges, university and college graduates, young entrepreneurs and young new immigrants who are seriously considering but have not yet decided to move to the North.

Stage One

Duration: Two Weeks

Discover the North

Participants live in one of our North-Up Centers, where they experience everyday life in the Galilee and the Golan firsthand.

The program includes:

  • Experiencing the quality of life and opportunities the region offers

  • Outdoor activities, excursions, and team-building experiences

  • Introduction to employment, career, and entrepreneurial opportunities

  • Visits to different communities and learning about their unique benefits

  • Community engagement and volunteer activities with local residents

The objective is to create a meaningful emotional, social, and practical connection to Northern Israel while giving participants the confidence, knowledge, and relationships needed to make an informed decision about their future.

Stage Two

Duration: 4–8 Weeks

Building Your Future in the North

The second stage focuses on helping participants establish the three foundations for successful long-term relocation:

  • Employment or business development

  • Permanent housing

  • Community integration

Participants receive personalized guidance, including:

  • Career placement and professional networking

  • Support for launching or expanding entrepreneurial ventures

  • Assistance in finding permanent housing in the community best suited to their needs

  • Integration into active local communities

  • Continued mentoring and practical milestone-based support

This stage is intended for participants who demonstrate strong commitment and a high likelihood of successfully relocating and settling in Northern Israel.

The Future of Northern Israel Depends on Those Who Choose to Live There.

The future of the Galilee and the Golan will be shaped by the young people who choose to build their homes, raise their families, and create thriving communities there.
North-Up Israel bridges the gap between the desire to contribute to Israel's national future and the practical ability to make that vision a reality.
Together, we can build the next generation of Northern Israel.
